In the heart of our bustling city, there’s a neglected urban park that holds immense potential as a green oasis for residents and visitors.
Our project aims to breathe new life into this space, aligning with SDG 11 by fostering sustainable and inclusive urban development. The urban park in this area used to be a lively, shared meeting space for so many residents – we want to revive that through your support, and in the process produce a model for other urban parks around Canada to copy and regrow.
Here’s what we plan to achieve:
- Park infrastructure restoration and landscaping
- Installation of energy-efficient lighting and waste management systems
- Creation of recreational areas and community gardens
- Public awareness campaigns on the importance of green spaces
