This project contributes to SDG 12 by promoting sustainable food systems and reducing food waste from a remote community in the NWT.
Our community believes in the power of responsible consumption and production, and we’re dedicated to supporting local farmers while providing healthy food choices.
Here’s our plan:
- Establishing a local farmers’ market with eco-friendly packaging
- Supporting sustainable farming practices and reducing food miles
- Creating partnerships with local restaurants and schools to start
- A sustainability model for farm-to-table that inspires others
By supporting this project, you’ll help create a more sustainable and resilient food ecosystem in our developed nation, aligning with global sustainability goals. You’ll also be helping the community become more independent, while becoming a role model for so many others!
